The recently concluded Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo (POATE) 2026 drew significant attention from hospitality technology firm FCS Solutions, whose exhibition stand attracted interest from hotel owners, tourism operators, and industry stakeholders from across the region.
The expo, held in Kampala, brought together key players in Africa’s tourism and hospitality sector, providing a platform for networking, innovation, and business engagement. Among the exhibitors, FCS Solutions presented live demonstrations of its cloud-based hospitality management system, FCS1, designed to streamline hotel operations including housekeeping, maintenance coordination, guest services, and internal communication.
Several hospitality operators and investors at the event expressed interest in the system, noting increasing demand for digital tools as hotel developments expand across East Africa.
Speaking at the company’s exhibition stand, FCS Uganda Sales Manager, Jafar Ajena Mugisha, said the response from the market reflects a growing shift toward technology-driven operations in the hospitality sector.
“FCS Solutions is here to help revolutionize how the hospitality industry operates. Through FCS1, we are empowering hotels to automate workflows, improve staff coordination, reduce operational delays, and ultimately enhance guest experiences,” Mugisha said.
“The response we have received at POATE confirms that the Ugandan market is ready for smarter hospitality solutions that increase productivity while maintaining world-class service standards.”
Industry data presented during the expo highlighted continued growth in Africa’s hospitality sector, with thousands of new hotel rooms currently under development across the continent, further increasing demand for operational efficiency tools.
FCS Solutions said its participation at POATE 2026 forms part of its broader expansion strategy in East Africa, following the establishment of operations in Uganda and ongoing growth in Kenya and Rwanda.
The company, which currently serves hotels in more than 70 countries, focuses on digital systems aimed at improving coordination between hotel departments and enhancing service delivery.
According to organizers, POATE continues to serve as a key platform connecting tourism stakeholders, investors, and technology providers seeking to tap into the region’s growing travel and hospitality industry.
